PLANS AND DOORS AND DAUGHTERS AND THINGS

Today I planned to write four stories for my second book.  I got up late, which was in the plan.  I ate a bowl of cereal, then came in to write.  I did some reading and started in.  After a while I got up to go to the bathroom.  My bedroom door would not open.  No, it wasn’t locked.  It doesn’t have a lock.  The door knob went round and round when I tried to open the door.

After a while of trying in vain to open the door, I finally used Mother’s bathroom and came back to work.  The cursor on my computer would not move.  In fact, I couldn’t find it.  I had to reboot and in the process lost almost all of my story.

I talked to my daughter, who helped me with a different slant to the story.  I didn’t get four stories done, but I got 1-1/2 and a pleasant visit with Jenny.

David came home early after I’d called him.  He used something big that made lots of noise and got the door open.  Now we don’t have to sleep with Mother tonight.  Things are looking good.

We went to take care of some business, then out for a light supper.

Jeremial 29:11 says, “‘I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I think about plans.  Plans bigger than door knobs and cursors.  I think about my five grandchildren.  I pray every night for God’s protection on their lives.  I know He has grand adventures in store for them.  I pray they allow Him to open all the right doors.
